Hagar Posted September 12, 2017 Report Posted September 12, 2017 Who'll win? At this time in our disruptive lives, both towns will. For a few hours, students, fans, and many alumni, of both schools and towns, will immerse themselves in something normal for SETX. Heaven knows, many need those few hours. WOSgrad Posted September 12, 2017 Report Posted September 12, 2017 Another milepost in the recovery. Friday night's game will be broadcast on AM 1600 KOGT. They have been off the air due to flooding that the station got but they will be back on the air starting tomorrow at 6am. prepballfan and marshman 2 Quote
WOSgrad Posted September 12, 2017 Report Posted September 12, 2017 Kickoff for this game will be an early one. 6:30 pm, according to Gary. Quote
waterboy6890 Posted September 13, 2017 Report Posted September 13, 2017 Won't be a game! It will get ugly quickly Quote
griff Posted September 13, 2017 Report Posted September 13, 2017 Neither team has practiced much and they have been out of their normal routines for nearly two weeks. We may see some sloppy play from both teams, but it will be exciting to finally see some Friday night action. Quote
WOSFAN99 Posted September 13, 2017 Author Report Posted September 13, 2017 No Mustangs game starts at 7:30 Quote

I know, that is an unusual start time which is why I texted him back to be sure he had not made an error. He texted back 6:30 pm. That is the time I am going with until I hear official word otherwise. EDIT: And there is this from the West Orange-Cove CISD school district facebook page: "The WOS Varsity Football game vs. Bridge City will be played on Friday, Sept. 15 with kick off at 6:30 pm. The game will be General admission free of charge. Due to incurring weather damage to the Visitors side concession, the Home side concession will be available for the visitors to access. Thank you for your support of the Mustangs and the Cardinals!" rhino1877 1 Quote

2wedge Posted September 13, 2017 Report Posted September 13, 2017 Thank God for Silsbee and Nederland being willing to play WOS. I hate that it took a hurricane to create situation where these other GT schools would be willing to play WOS. Our area is too good to have our top tier teams traveling hours for games. Quote

Goblin Posted September 14, 2017 Report Posted September 14, 2017 0-25 will become 0-26 I'm predicting (in the all-time series) Quote
2wedge Posted September 15, 2017 Report Posted September 15, 2017 There is such a different feeling surrounding this game this year compared to last year. Two communities that are trying to get back on their feet needing a 3 hour respite from the work and worry. prepballfan, CardinalBacker, studd88 and 1 other 4 Quote
