Silsbee not included in that final 3A poll is a slap in the face to the Tigers. I know that they are not officially the state runner's up, but IMO the Tigers are the second best team in 3A. They beat HJ by 19 in district, went to overtime in regional final after leading 99% of the game where that game could have easily been a different result, but the better team did win. But what I saw at the state tournament from the other three teams was teams Silsbee would have beaten had they been there. I think the HJ folks would agree to that.
Lazeek Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 I agree SIlsbee is very good and without a doubt the toughest opponet HJ played all year, but these rankings automatically give the teams that make it to state the top 4 rankings. Silsbee is IMO the #2 or #3 ranked team in the state.

How does West Hardin end up 13th when Big Sandy (who had a worse record and didn't go as far in the Playoffs) ended up at number 6!!?? That makes absolutely NO SENSE!! I don't think that 3A is the only joke!!
Guest bleed orange Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 I know this is the boys site but the girls side got ripped off too. WOS and Silsbee should have been in the top 20. Neither one was. WOS made it to the sweet 16 and did not make the top 20, makes no sense to me. Their are teams in the top 20 that made it to the round of 32 just like Silsbee and yet silsbee and WOS was shown no love. Nobody is talking on the other site so I had to vent here sorry.
