HurricaneCal Posted September 16, 2017 Report Posted September 16, 2017 Man, I watched the 1st half and left. I'm gonna catch some heat for this, but oh well. Neither one of those teams could beat PAM or PNG. If BH actually had receivers that could catch the ball, they may have had 40 in the first half. They are gritty, but just don't have the Jimmy's and Joes yet. Quote
Clueless Posted September 16, 2017 Report Posted September 16, 2017 The Crosby voodoo is real. BH came out going up by 10 and couldn't hold the lead. Congrats to Crosby, y'all never gave up and made the plays when it counted. Hopefully BH can squeak into the playoffs. We have alot to work on for sure. OHANA/Cougars 1 Quote

BHFAN Posted September 16, 2017 Report Posted September 16, 2017 It's early both teams have a lot of time to improve. The BH receivers struggled tonight, but they will get better Quote

To much pressure on Cauthern to throw 400 yards a game to compete. Once he has someone to hand the rock too this will free up a lot for us. Do you think we will be worse when are RB's return? You'll be different, How does Cauthern gonna run the read option, is he not going to power run as much? Your offense was very well put together tonight and really complimented what you wanted to do. Your offense will be different less pressure on the QB, but how good he is i'm not sure you're not better with him carrying the load. Quote

You think either one of these teams would beat PNG or PAM then cool, that's your opinion. I'd love to see one those matchups. Quote
BHFAN Posted September 16, 2017 Report Posted September 16, 2017 I haven't seen the move in RB , so I'm not sure about him, but Spencer Long will be a huge lift to the team. He will give us the balance that we need to get better. He is definitely no Williams, but still a good power down hill running kid that can open up the pass. Anyway good game on to the next game district is still a tough road to plow.. Hope we were are both in round 2 of the playoffs this year. Eagle82, #COUGAR08 and Red Dawn 3 Quote

Actually last week we threw alot more short crossing routes and tonight, we seemed to throw an abmormal amount of go routes. When our RB returns it will help to draw the defense in more. I was surprised at the lack of RB or WR middle screens since Crosby D was being so aggresive up the middle. Quote

HurricaneCal Posted September 16, 2017 Report Posted September 16, 2017 Been watching Crosby since 2012, can't say I remember them being anywhere close to this small. Hopefully they can continue to get better, its early, but man I'm glad they didn't play week 1. That's all I'm gonna say about that! ScubaSteve 1 Quote

I know BH didn't have any RB but they can't put a WR in jet motion? i could set my watch to that first down power right by the QB. There was some go routes that smoked Crosby secondary early, why nothing underneath once the secondary was in soft prevent? Was the QB making that call? That's even worse. There was a great comeback play from BH15 that was a pure timing, thing of beauty. Ball was out before WR had turned around. Great play. Not run enough. Coaching? (We are just fans after all). BH conditioned this secondary for the deep ball early. It dried up in the second half. There was a beautiful fake power run where 5 pulled up and threw deep. Suckered the corner hard for a TD. By the 4th quarter the defense could afford to allow the 3-4 yard QB runs and cap the deep threat I mean, points are what matters and they were turning these plays into points early but it set a tendency. Rio was able to adjust for the 2nd half. It seemed, defensively, BH didn't adjust much. Coaching? I didn't see a whole lot of innovation or questionable decisions by either staff but no way Rio got out-coached. Red Dawn 1 Quote
BMTSoulja1 Posted September 16, 2017 Report Posted September 16, 2017 Congrats on the win, MECCA. Didn't think it would be this close, but whatever. I know one thing. MECCA seem to have issues on defense that needs to be addressed before playoffs. It would be good enough to win district because apparently no one in that district are playing defense this year. Way to make them sweat, Ant Mound! Quote
