Bridge City Tennis Results from the Vidor Tournament on Friday. Girls Singles : "A" Shanita Maceda won first place in the round-robin tournament with a 4-0 record defeating Jordan Bates of Buna 8-2, Lauren Byrd of Vidor 8-0, Lacy Langham of Silsbee 8-0, and Adrienne Rewerts of Vidor 8-0. "B" Katelyn Reynolds drew a bye before dropping a match to Kristina Schisler 8-6. She then won a consolation match over Ashton Whitewood of Vidor 8-3. Girls Doubles: "A" Rachelle Olenik and Maria Stamatis won the championship in the round-robin tournament with a perfect 4-0 record by defeating Delome/Hickerson of Buna 8-5, Johnson/Ludwig of Orangefield 8-2, Morales/Sherman of Silsbee and then beat 2nd place team of Crossley/Williamson of Vidor 8-6. Boys Singles: "A" Clayton Rowe had a 2-2 round-robin record by defeating Rusty Morris of Vidor 8-3 and Tony Luckey of Vidor 8-2. He dropped matches to Silsbee's Matthew Deaver 8-0 and Paul Eaton 8-2. "B" Stephen Dotson finished with a 3-2 record by defeating Justin Tally of Silsbee 8-4, Zach Crane 8-2 and then Nate Jarrell of Vidor 9-8. He lost matches to Jonathan Broussard 8-3 and Nathan Badeaux 8-3.

Boys Doubles: "A" Devin Armstrong and Hunter Gothia had a perfect 3-0 record and won first place by defeating Oster/Reynolds of Silsbee 8-1, Boales/Richardson of Vidor 8-4, and Hillin/Sare of Silsbee 8-2.  "B" Anthony Delgadillo and Vu Nguyen won 2nd place by defeating Evans/Ham of Orangefield, McCauley/Roy of Silsbee before dropping their finals match to Orangefield's Granger/Free 8-6. Jake Ballard and Logan Bryant defeated Orangefield's Powell/Grimes 8-2 before losing to Granger/Free of Orangefield 8-4. The Cardinals will resume their season after Spring Break by heading to Beaumont to play in the South Park Invitational Tournament on March 23.
