If East Chambers plays scared, this game will be Newton early and often. I think East Chambers might surprise some people. The HF game was a slap in the face, and they answered the call last week. East Chambers wide-receivers will be the difference in that game, they need to get open and make the easy catches. Dropped passes in the Kirbyville and HF games cost us big time. Newton has too many play makers, and will pull away late. Good luck Bucs, don't think they have enough in the tank for Newton this season. Hope they prove me wrong, this would be a huge win for them!

Pulls away late would be EC playing a perfect game and Newton playing sloppy sloppy. This game shouldn't be close by the second quarter.

They are not playing div.2a-2 Somerville or  Hardin. Bridge City would run all over EC. Need I say more.

Newton fans need to go to Jasper tomorrow at 4:30 and watch the 7th and 8th grade team play. Newton's 7th grade is real good, 8th grade is not so bad either.
