Mass shooting in Vegas

What makes Trump so bad?  Well, it's not the 17% advance in the stock market made since the day he was elected.  It's not the 860 regulations that have been rolled back from the prior administration   It's not the economy which is on track to approach 3% GDP this quarter for the first time in over 10 years.

From the article: "While authorities have not uncovered evidence of an accomplice in the Las Vegas mass shooting, they are working under the assumption the gunman had help in his preparations at some point, Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said.  “Do you think this was all accomplished on his own?”  Lombardo said at a Wednesday evening press conference. “You gotta make the assumption he had to have had some help at some point.”"

Stop making excuses for domestic terorism

I'm not making excuses, merely pointing out what a reporter from a Left Wing rag said.  I just don't want a Govt coverup.  Either way, I'm glad the pos is dead.

Excuses? Dude, we are just trying to make some kind of sense out of something that makes absolutely no sense.

Try this on for size.....I have seen police body cam footage of several officers trying to sneak up on the shooter from the same side of the hotel the shooter is on. Does it take a genius to radio someone to go in from the back side to enter the hotel?

For me, it has to make some kind of sense.

Talk about your "chicken little, sky is falling" conspiracy theories. How paranoid can you get?

I don’t really believe that but I do think there is more to the story with his job.  No way he could afford his gambling habits with his work history.

Video Poker if player with optimal strategy pays back around 99.5%.  Add in comps and free play and technically he could beat the game.  He’s not getting rich doing that though.  It seems like it ls a great way to wash money and it only cost a half of a percent plus you get all kinds of free stuff.

I just read that he scouted out and rented hotel rooms in Chicago near Wrigley Field and in Boston near Fenway.  This information came from yahoo.  Not sure how credible that site is.  Has anyone else heard of this?

Heard he rented a room in Chicago and was planning other attacks, some with car bombs.

Some to middle eastern ports!

Just saw this.  As baddog said, we're trying to make sense out of something that makes no sense.  I hate to keep harping on this, but I go back to the FBI statement that he had no connections to ISIS, only 12 hours after the attack.  After reading what the MSM has been reporting, I thought the pos spent all his time in Casinos.  Now they say he took 20 cruises, several to the Middle East.

So would someone make sense of this.  How could the FBI know jack about any connection to ISIS if this POS had been to the Middle East several times?  This is a prime example of how you get conspiracy theories started.  The admittedly 'far fetched' article PhatMack posted would be one way the FBI would know he wasn't connected.  I'm beginning to smell a stink, and it ain't the Evadale Papermill.

I started reading up on this after your original post about his gambling, etc.  REB will tell you I HATE conspiracy theories.  But like you, things just don’t add up.   The massive gambling, the planes. I convinced myself there is more to this story.  As baddog said, I need it to “make sense” to me.  I hope we are told enough that it does at some point, but eventually I stopped reading because these situations make me nuts.

Your agitation (frustration) based on the info we've gotten on this attack, mirrors what I put in bold print above your post.  The whole thing is a blueprint for a conspiracy theory.  Roswell was another, made for a CT.  Yep, something smells on this one.  Like you and baddog, I hope we get some solid, 'makes sense' info pretty soon.

If it was a jigsaw puzzle, I'd already be b-tching about pieces being missing.

    • I agree but Hitchcock had better skill players
    • Waco LaVega is about equal to Hitchcock in speed and size.
    • You’re the one talking about Elementary school kids.  What I’m saying is that there are kids who play Jr School ball in GCCISD and then transfer into BHISD/GPISD/LPISD/DPISD between 8th and 9th.  Doing so means no PAPF/eligibility questionnaire and they get to play Freshman/JV, work out with the team, etc. and look homegrown because they transferred before freshman year.  it’s a loophole.  All the big programs do it.  That’s why the UIL rules changes, to close up the 8th-to-9th transfer portal, and it isn’t even taking effect until Aug 1 2025 so you’ll see these transfers this summer. Also, as far as BHISD being closed instead of open, just look at the GCCISD transfer numbers I posted.  GCCISD loses twice as many kids to BHISD per year, the “closed” district, than they do to the open Districts in the area.  Anyone who lives here knows folks who’ve used MeeMaw’s address to get their kids in there.  It is what it is and if it wasn’t, UIL wouldn’t be changing those rules and sending one of their own to the DECs now would they?   Go ask Coach Abseck how many kids in his program are 8th Grade transfers.  We know that at North Shore that number is at least 20% because of the numbers they had to provide UIL during their recruiting investigation.  I’ll bet BHISD’s numbers are AT LEAST that.  Again, THEY ALL DO IT.
    • According to Texas Tribune, Gccisd, Laporte and deer park are all rated B. Barbers Hill is an A. GC has a higher 4 year graduation rate than LP or DP. BH is far and away the best district on this side of town. GC has a much higher percentage economically disadvantaged at 71.7% with LP being next closest at 52%. Surprised that GC is performing so well considering. All of the players that would likely make a great football team are out by GCM and Sterling. If GCM had Lee's coach and dropped back down into 5A division 1, they would be able to compete very well against BH and LP. I don't know what their problem is with getting the athletes to gel into an actual team. Lee still beat them both this year and was sort of a down year by Lee's standards. Lot of injuries some kids moved out of district and they are paper thin as it is.
