Jimmy Carter may be the finest man ever to grace the White House.  Was overwhelmed by the job but he might be the greatest ex-president we’ve had.  I put the younger Bush in a similar category in terms of character and ilk.

Carter has devoted his post-presidential time to charitable causes and even while battling cancer, showed up faithfully each week to teach his Sunday School class.  I have to utmost respect for him as a human being.

I agree that he was one of the most honest, sincere presidents we've ever had.  Imo, his character is above reproach.  On the downside, as president, well, overwhelmed is a nice way to say it.  I'd even venture to say that his honesty created enemies on both sides of the isle, which may have impacted his performance.  Trump, love him or hate him, is facing the same two party opposition.

    • Uh oh MAGAS, any issues with this? Scott Bessent Seems to be textbook deep state with the soros affiliation.    Bond markets, and my investment accounts,  are liking the pick so far with rates down as investors breathe a sigh of relief. Reportedly he will take a softer approach to tariffs, which are inflationary and pass throughs to consumers, as all 1.5 of us on SETX know
