You know its funny you mention Dre Dunbar, I remember watching him come in scrub time his junior year and seeing him scared to make contact and thinking to myself man we are gonna be in trouble with him being a senior the next year. Well first thing out  the gate against Barbers Hill the kid comes out beast mode has two or three interceptions, a fumble recovery or two and  one pic I think was a pic 6. Kid his senior year went Beast Mode. Im not sure what happened on his summer off but damn he turned out to be a baller. On this particular play he just happened to be in the right spot and for the ball to bounce off of ole boys facemask right into the only guy out there that had the speed to outrun Centrals players was him. The roar of the crowd says it all, Sorry Soulja1 I didn't go get it but it didn't take much prodding to get someone who did lol.

Ok, I went ahead and played it.  Why couldn't #3 for the Indians catch the ball, he wouldn't have probably scored.  Were we kicking the field goal to take the lead, tie the game up or to extend our lead?  I can't even believe I'm asking those questions...

You........You MONSTER!!!!!

Sorry JagMarine95 but you know it was inevitable especially since I got to witness it first hand in '09!  Besides, I was just trying to give a little technical assistance to biaplayer since he was unable to post it.  :)

While sitting at the Vidor game we had another player from that '09 team sitting with us (Blake Brooks) and we were talking about that play...that ball bounced right off Nathan Ragio's facemask and into Dre's hands and he took off.  It was pretty amazing!  Not sure if you remember biaplayer but there was also an elderly gentleman who had a heart attack that night in the stands right as the play unfolded; coincidentally, I got to meet him in my office last year.

CENTRAL 22. PNG 20 this was an extra point after Jaguars take the lead. PNG blocks kick. Dunbar runs it back.

CENTRAL 22. PNG 22

PNG wins with a field goal in their 2nd possession in 2OT after stopping Central on a 4th down play in their possession . Ah memories!

Looking forward to a hard-fought game. Central is always a tough, worthy opponent. I think PNG is going to win this one, but New Caney was also supposed to blow Central out in the first round last year, and Central almost got away with a win. This is easily a trap game for PNG.

What surprises me about Central over the years is that in games they should win(aside from Ozen,Lee, and Livingston) they play mess around and struggle and yet in turn fight tooth and nail in games that no one gives them a shot at winning

yes I was right there over him as they were performing cpr on him, I was holding my daughter who at the time was three, ironically, the guy had had a previous heart attack and you wouldn't believe it but he had it at a PNG game also come to find out.  Poor fella should stay away from the PNG games as his heart cant take the excitement lol

I agree, like someone else referenced, the New Caney playoff game from last year (which I would like a rematch of) and the 2nd CE King playoff game that they should have won after leading the entire game.

I was talking to another dad yesterday as the Jaguars practiced.  I told him I seen something in the Nederland game that I hadn't seen in MANY years.  Fight and not quitting from the boys.  Central led most of that game until late in the 4th.  As Nederland scored the late TD and later the FG to take the lead, many of the old Jaguar teams would have folded up, packed it in and quit.  They would have been arguing on the sidelines and coaches walking around with their heads down.  I didn't see that 2 weeks ago.  It was 3rd and 35 with less than a minute to go and I watched as the offense confidently broke the huddle and picked up half the distance needed for the 1st.  Then on 4th down, the QB drops back and with no hesitation tosses the 1st down to our best WR.  From that point they punch it in for the win.

I also told him, Nelson and Company don't "play" with the team like the predecessor did.  You know who is in charge, the assistants are out actually coaching, correcting and instructing, not just hollering and fussing.

Regardless of what happens Thursday, I like the direction that the football program is heading and glad to have 2 boys and a nephew under Nelson and Company...

Sounds like it takes a game like the Ned game for them to build some confidence. Also sounds like you found a coach that is actually coaching and has his coaching staff doing the same. Good leaders lead, and the team will play for them that is exactly what Central needs to get them back up there as contenders!! Come on Thursday

He had to have some speed because the kids he ran away from were #80 Baloney a track guy #3 Jackson who played WR at Lamar #44 Hale played OLB at Utah and the Oakland Raiders & #17 Holeman played WR at SMU and the Cleveland Browns so he wasn't just Running away from some average joes..

Lol that 09 Central team was talented,  Lord

yes sir he was only one on pngs side of that kick that could have outran them and it just so happened the ball bounced off a png players facemask right into his hands on the run. Miracle play!!

The only PN-G kid capable of scoring on that play.  Anyone else would've been ran down....
