even with the updated results, nederland would play New Caney and PAM would face Porter. Nederland have two district losses and PAM own the head to head. in other words, PAM would go in as the "1st place D1" representative and Nederland would be runner up. that means PAM would get the D1 runner up, Porter and Nederland get the "1st place D1" rep in 21-5A.

New Caney lost last night

I don't think Crosby has clinched the DII 1 seed. If New Caney beats Porter and then beats Crosby along with Kingwood Park winning out and making the playoffs, then New Caney would be DII 1 seed due to the tie breaker of the win over Crosby and KP pushing them to DII. Unlikely but possible, correct?

You would be correct.

So if central wins out, they have no shot?? Say Vidor lose to PAM and Nederland lose to the cheating injuns...I mean png..does central make it?

No, Central is still in, as long as they win out.

They are just not in a position to lock that spot up this week.  Vidor and Nederland are in a position to do that, although Nederland's chances of doing that rely on a Central loss this week.

For sterling to clinch they need to beat kingwood. Ce King needs to lose to Atascocita and Summer Creek needs to beat Channelview. If all that happens Friday night the Rangers will be in the playoffs for the first time since 2008.

Yes, I guess I broke my own rule there.

If Sterling, C.E. King and Channelview all win.  That would leave Sterling at 3-3, and Kingwood, Channelview and Kingwood at 2-4.

In Week 11, if Sterling were to lose to Channelview and King were to beat Kingwood.  That would leave Sterling, Channelview and King all at 3-4 and 1-1 head to head against each other.

Tie breaker as it currently stands amongst those 3 is Sterling +13 (13 pt win over King with the game against Channelview pending), King +8 (13 pt loss to Sterling, 21 pt win over Channelview) and Channelview - 21 (21 pt loss to King with game with Sterling pending).  So if Sterling would lose by more than 5 points to Channelview, the 4th and final spot would be King's.

So the upshot of all of this is that you are correct.

It’s all good thanks for the detailed breakdown of all these district keep up the good work

If Vidor and Nederland go 1-1 in the remaining games, along with Central winning out. They all will be 5-3 with the pts tie breaker that would leave Central out, Vidor +14, Ned +3, Central -17. So, in your scenario they would be on the outside of the playoffs.

    • It’s been awhile, but I seem to remember 5 D starters out & 2 O starters out (OL). A big difference is that Simon wasn’t involved yet. He’s totally changed LP’s rushing attack from last year as a bruising, explosive addition to Barnes, Sandolph & Bright. Last year—and early this season—LP was missing that element. Now, Coach Berneathy is not making talented players wait like many other coaches & even his predecessors at LP. If the kid can produce at the varsity level, they’re moved up. And man, has Simon produced! Over 1200 yards & 20 TD’s in less than a full season so far! It’s allowed LP to alternate RB’s where Barnes doesn’t take all the pounding. Barnes and Sandolph are also able to split out as receivers as desired to add threats that weren’t really an option last year. The PNG/LP game was a full-on tilt & good for both squads. I remember Gary Joseph in the end zone giving his son pointers as an extra set of eyes since he’d had experience with LP in past PO matchups. That was a good game. The score wasn’t really indicative of the game. Not sure anyone felt it was over until the final whistle! Good luck to y’all in Cajun Country. Bring back a win for SE Texas. (Yes. La Porte is still SETX. Ha!)
    • SEC fan bases before Texas got there: “The horns aren’t ready for this. Every week is a battle.” SEC fan bases after Texas arrived: “Texas has the easiest SEC schedule ever!” SEC fan bases after every one of their teams has lost to one or more SEC teams from the bottom half of the standings, many of whom Texas beat comfortably: 🤐
    • With a big win against the rival to close out the year… look to see Lamar make the playoffs next year
