WOSgrad Posted November 8, 2017 Report Share Posted November 8, 2017 District 10-3A-II Champion Newton Eagles make their final preparations for the Class 3A, Division II playoffs as they travel to Frankston to take on the Indians. W.T. Johnston's Eagles, 8-0 on the season, improved their season record to 8-0, their district record to 4-0 and clinched the #1 seed out of 10-3A-II with a 75-0 drubbing of Hemphill. Meanwhile, the Indians, 1-8 on the season, fell to 0-4 in district play with a 48-0 loss to Corrigan-Camden. The Eagles will be in action in bi-district play next week as they get a rematch of last season's Region III semifinal with Arp, the #4 seed out of 9-3A-II next Thursday at Wolf Stadium in San Augustine.
