shooter Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 How will the district unfold? Who will make the playoffs?
bballfan07 Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 Still think the top 2 will be HJ and Silsbee..
Lazeek Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 How will the district unfold? Who will make the playoffs?Same 3 will mkae the playoffs........HJ, Silsbee and WOS
Master T Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 My opinion is Silsbee is definitely coming back HJ got a strong chance and WOS is losing a bunch of senior and their jv is not a team i would call to make the playoff so in my pick1. Silsbee2.HJ3. Jasper
bballfan07 Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 Oh yea, I forgot about Jasper.. they were alright this year.Anyone know how many seniors they're losing?
Master T Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 I beleive they are losing 8 if i'm not mistaken
Tiger90 Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 Silsbee's run is about to begin. The team has some tremendous athletes that will be sophmores and freshmen. Tall and quick.
Lazeek Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 Silsbee's run is about to begin. The team has some tremendous athletes that will be sophmores and freshmen. Tall and quick.I thought that a berth in the Regional Final would constitute the beginning of a run!!!!!!!
Tiger90 Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 They did well no doubt but now the talent pool is getting better. This thread is about next year. Silsbee was predicted to be on the bubble this year. Everyone had WOS repeating an Austin trip.
Lazeek Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 I cannot imagine that Silsbee will have more talent this year coming up than this past year.......I just don't buy it....
omgshoes Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 aren't they losing their big guys? I can't see how they're gonna be any better next year than they were this year.
Lazeek Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 yes they lose all 3 of their big guys.......
Cat22 Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 Here's the sleeper to watch for next season!!Orangefield!! They have some good underclassmen coming up. They may surprise some people the next couple of years!!
bballislife15 Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 silsbee has alot of talent comming up...they have a 6'5 sophmore next year that nobody can score on
Tiger90 Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 I cannot imagine that Silsbee will have more talent this year coming up than this past year.......I just don't buy it....I didn't ask you to "buy it." Silsbee had more talent on the floor last year than this year, but they didn't play well as a team. It is obvious you do not know Silsbee's talent pool and to be honest you shouldn't since you are from HJ. Saying that, Silsbee has some tremendous young athletes coming. The coaches are even excited.
HJ-Hawks25 Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 Silsbee does have quite a bit of talent coming up. There is a kid in freshmen level already dunking so he should be moving up. And they had another tall freshmen that is a very good blocker. Anyways though Silsbee and HJ are both losing needed players. HJ and Silsbee both go to the playoffs again next year.
AggiesAreWe Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 I agree, Silsbee had more talent on the basketball team last year than this year. They got beat by WOS in the third round last year after defeating them twice earlier in the year. This year's Tiger team was less talented but played better as a team.Silsbee does has some very good talent coming up but that does not always guarantee anything special. You still got to play the games.
Lazeek Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 Glad to see someoone from Silsbee talk in a respectful way instead of trashing another school or promoting themselves!!!!!! I agree with Aggiesarewe, in my opinion nobody thought that HJ would have had the year that they had. NOBODY!!!!! You must play the games!!!!!! I am already looking forward to high school hoop season next year.
shooter Posted March 16, 2007 Author Report Posted March 16, 2007 I predict the teams will finish in the following order:JasperHJSilsbeeOrangefieldWOSHamshireBCKirbyville
BLUEDOVE3 Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 Why is Hamshire-Fannett predicted so low in the district? How would you rate their team/ players? I've never seen them play but I'm asking because I've seen the H-F Junior High players and in my humble opinion they really lack good fundamental basketball skills at the Junior High level.

The girls are pretty good!
