that is not going to decrease the time spent by the players in the farm system.  The reason it takes the playes so long down there is because they have to get used to the better pitching not because they have to change bats.

P.S. METAL BATS ARE NOT DANGEROUS !

Nothing is a "knee Jerk" reaction when it comes to the safety of our kids. 

I believe anything, and I mean anything, can become a Knee-jerk reaction when lawyers, etc. get involved. New York city Council? Gimmie a break! All sports have some kind of risk, period. Screaming for a "ban" isn't necessary. Simply tune down the bats and/or balls, and relax, folks.
