Monte Barrow...A new era begins

Does he have a set or what...Going for 2 and ending that game  was not only the right call, but a gutsy one. We had no answer for Shug, and the D was gassed.Hats off buddy!!!!!! Ole Delbert aint too bad himself!!!

It's becoming clear to me that he had a lot to do with the success of Nederland in years past as well. Nederland hasn't missed a beat. Just shows the faith that LN had in him to have complete control of the offense. I've always heard that LN changed his teams offense to match his strengths but I believe it's Monte who was making those changes. Congratulations to the coaching staff and Monte. Huge win and great game.

You  know, most Ned fans were saying that when he got hired and before the season started.   I'm sure offensive changes were collaborative between LN and Monte. Good to hear from an outside source.

Barrow still has a long way to go to get out of Daddy Larry's shadow but, he took a huge step last night. So many thought Ned's ship had sailed when Daddy left, Im thinking it hasnt.

You must be kidding right?  Anyone with half an ounce of sense knew that we were not going to push this to overtime where RJ gets the ball at the 25.  We had the mo, that was the ONLY call, win or lose.

Armchair quarterback? The entire stadium was yelling go for two!! So if we would have missed it WE would have backed the call and our coach.

It was the only call to make......And it worked...So....I guess we will never know.

Everybody in the stadium knew a 2 point conversion was coming. It was well executed. Good call.

Was a really well designed play by Barrow as well.  Went with an unbalanced line to the right then brought 22 in motion that direction and faked the handoff to him drawing the entire defense then they slipped the TE out.

We were in a wildcat formation until PNG called time out, then changed the play, and it was a great call. I don't think anybody would have been upset with Monty if we had not made it, it was a good call to go for 2 and a gutsy play call to get it.

Didnt agree with going for it on 4th and 8 close to midfield...But that's his job and not mine.. No doubt NISD made the right choice with Barrow. Let the ERA begin!!!!!!!!
