Official: Texas A&M University Director of Athletics Scott Woodward has relieved Head Football Coach Kevin Sumlin of all duties effective immediately. Assistant Coach Jeff Banks will serve as interim head coach.

DC Brian Stewart is currently the interim head coach. From all accounts I've heard the entire coaching staff will likely be out. I possibly see Stewart as the next HC, he just got to Rice this season and did a good job with the defense. Their offense was horrendous, and left the defense on the field and in bad spots a lot.

Aggie to offer Jimbo "Lucrative" deal. I just don't see Jimbo leaving FSU to take a step down to Aggie, but money has a way of changing minds. That deal gonna have to be ridiculous though.

Les Miles is 64, but is a better coach then most of the names being thrown around. The guy won a lot of games in the SEC, something that the Aggies have not done. Too many openings right now. It could be a 4 or 5 year deal till a better coach is available.

Since 2013, 11 of the 12 FBS programs in Texas have changed Head Coaches.

 

TCU is the only one that hasn’t.
