West Orange-Stark 17 Mexia 3/FINAL

The West Orange-Stark Mustangs take another step in their 2017 Class 4A, Division II playoff journey tonight as they take on the Mexia Black Cats in area round play.  Cornel Thompson's Mustangs, 9-0 on the season, advanced to this round with a 54-0 bi-district win over Brookshire Royal last Thursday.  The Black Cats, 6-5 on the season, advanced to this round with a 30-7 win over Gonzales.

The winner of this game will face the winner of the Madisonville/Lorena area round game which will also be played tonight.

Hip point injury. Didn’t play for half the game.

It was a win but will need big improvement  if they want to get past Madisonville
