Anahuac 8 Warren 6 Final/Monday

2 errors in the first 6 innings? I didnt see em. Man, I'd hate to play for that score keeper all the time. Would really lead to some low batting averages.

Snowflake, you are correct. The Panthers did not lay down and die. They deserve their props for hanging in and doing what they had to do.

Lovin sports---West and Parker, are in fact, hammering the ball. They had batted in the btm of 6th and werent due up yet. Glad to see Tucker hitting again. He should be the DH. You seem to have a problem with the catcher? I saw him save runs several times with balls in the dirt. The only problem I see is him throwing at times that he shouldnt. Johnny Bench isnt going to throw out some one with a 5 step jump. I havent seen the errors you speak of.

The major diff I see between this team and the 2005 playoff team is the attitude. That team was loaded with seniors and they knew how to win. THis team will get there. To many quality young players not to have high hopes for the future.

The major difference between the 2005 club and this one isn't attitude it's pitching plain and simple.Wallace and Flores were a good 1-2 punch and they had Reese and Granger in the bull pen. This club doesn't have that luxury.I didn't see the errors the other day just glanced at the book.Lovin Sports must not know much about baseball,Parker and West were already in the game they had just batted.I personally wouldn't have taken Caleb  completely out of the lineup with his spot due up 1st in the 7th,he is to good a hitter and is his best middle infielder when not pitching. There are some pretty good young players on this club but they aren't quite ready for varsity ball if your gonna contend for a playoff spot. They will miss Carnley both with the stick and the glove,he could have helped them.I hope they keep hitting the ball,if they do they can make some folks nervous.Go Warriors

No doubt about the 2005 pitching. Wallace and Flores were a great combo, I have'nt seen the pitching to be the detrement I thought it would. Pitching didnt cost them this one. You are correct in that we dont have a dominant pitcher, but this district is much weaker than the teams we faced in 2005 and we have been able to scrape by on our hitting. We havent really seen a dominant pitcher either. Have you even heard of any in our distict?

Not sure why Caleb wasnt put at SS after pulling him. THe only thing I can guess is that after pitching for 6 innings, the arm is not as sure on the routine throws, that was evident on the toss to the plate. In all fairness, Kelly had been doing a good job at short. Sure could have used his bat though.....Did Tucker hit for Caleb? I had already left by then, had to get to work.

Yea Tucker batted for Caleb.I would have led off with Caleb and had Tucker pinch hit for Kirkpatrick or James. But that's easy to say now.The coach is doing a pretty good job he's just a little short handed.I don't think there is a dominate pitcher in the district this year. The bats will have us in every game if the defense plays like they did Monday.
