Hagar Posted November 29, 2017 Report Posted November 29, 2017 I'm not going to bother with posting this link. Begay perceives Trump calling Elizabeth Warren, Pocahontas is a racial slur. Had Trump used that term referring to an actual Native American, I could relate better. But I'm fascinated that Native Americans aren't more upset with Elizabeth Warren falsely claiming to be an Indian. A genealogist traced her ancestry back and could only find her 1/32, not nearly sufficient to be able to claim oneself as a Native American. And though some don't accept that, the fact that when she taught at U. of Texas she didn't claim it, and only did when applying at Harvard, which needed some female minority professors. How convenient Elizabeth. I'd bet I'm closer to being Native American than she is, but I would never claim it without proof. EW, she don't need no stinking proof. LumRaiderFan Posted November 29, 2017 Report Posted November 29, 2017 This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up From the article: CNN political analyst Joshua Green met with Thomas Begay – one of the veterans honored at the event – who said that while he was puzzled by the comment, he was not offended by it. “The Marines made us yell ‘Geronimo’ when we jumped out of planes, and that didn’t offend me either,” Begay said.
