The Antidote to consumerism

There’s only one antidote to the poison of consumerism. Giving.  
 
The benefits of giving are powerful:
  
1. Giving unleashes endorphins and creates feelings of happiness.

2. Giving restores our role as stewards of God’s resources, not owners.
This is the hidden content, please
  
3. Giving reminds us that “God so loved the world that He gave...” 
This is the hidden content, please
4. Giving is more blessed than receiving.
This is the hidden content, please
  
5. Giving stores up treasures in heaven.
This is the hidden content, please
6. Giving to the “least of these” is giving to God.
This is the hidden content, please
7. Giving put our blessing in perspective of others’ needs.7

Great post.  I would suggest that our Govt. does #6 for us perhaps to often.
