I saw Wagner a week or so ago when they played Cy Falls.  Yes, they are big and have elite guards.  Silsbee playing with six against that team...it didn't match up in my mind.  Still, you gotta lace em up and get on the court.

Silsbee could probably play with any other team in that tourney, but not with the big dogs.

Yeah I was super impressed with them against Falls.  And they hadn’t played any non-cupcakes before that game.  Falls was running a very good Clear Lake team out of their own gym tonight.  Didn’t see a final but they were up huge.

Add to all that the fact that Bush only played the first half and wasn’t himself and the fact that Devon was limited by foul trouble and it got out of hand.

If I read that Cy Fair tournament bracket correctly, If Silsbee gets past Klein Collins Thursday their next opponent will likely be...SA Wagner.

I believe it will be a different game even if there are limited football players in time and number and a healthy Bush.

Last year the football team lost early in the playoffs. By the time the Silsbee b-ball team played Wagner they were maybe 90% in sync.  That won't be the same if they meet again this weekend. It usually takes more than a few days to make the transition from football to basketball.  Opponents and others don't care though.  As for Bush I hope his knee is alright.  If he needs to rest it for later I'm okay with that too. Tournament games aren't the ones that really matter.
