And the extremists on both sides of the racial divide won't like this but that is too bad because it is true all the same. There is this area which stretches from the Texas State Line (Orange) to Winnie, maybe even as far west as Anahuac, north to Jasper and south to about High Island, known by the rest of the State as "Beaumont." Mustangs win, they are from Beaumont. Port Arthur Memorial loses, they are from Beaumont. Mid-County vs. Port Arthur? Doesn't exist to those folks outside of the above outlined area. Pear Orchard doesn't like Vidor and vice versa? Heck, most of folks outside of this area would guess that Pear Orchard is a part of Vidor. The petty differences that most folks in this area hold against other folks in the area are just that, petty. And they have no interest to folks outside of here. You don't need to lecture me. My hometown got a hatchet job courtesy of "The Worldwide Leader in Sports" (RIGHT!!!) using a local boy gone good as, what I am beginning to understand, an unwitting accomplice. It was done by a person quite like yourself, someone who had no clue as to the true story but never let that get in the way of a good agenda furthering. Sir. I don't know you and probably will never meet you in this life. If you check my posts, I didn't start posting until mid season. But since then, I've spoke with three players in addition to an assistant coach I've known since I was 5. What happened....It happened. But my question I why? Why Vidor? Why our stinky hands? Btw, I moved to Houston 15 years ago last month. Funny how you can give your opinion of an out of area prospective when you still live there. You are right, but the actions of the PAM go to prove the divsions are right there 15 miles away from each other. Plus you talk about ESPN smearing you...try CNN coming to your hometown to tell the world about it's "Sundown" past. Block me, kick me off, I don't care. Just be real and stop allowing one poster from getting away with whatever they want. Nine years is a long time to hear about how much Vidor sucks from 75% of this board. When you allow posters to get away with belittling and berating players your going to get this kind of rebuttal. I like to pick and talk smack too but you will never hear me berate players. It gets personal when you do that. So what she’s trying to say is she’s tired of Paks stupid ass mouth. As for rooting for other teams. I like to see all teams in the area do good but I just had to rub it in Paks face about thier lost because of his mouth. I drove to Dallas last year and to Houston the year before to support WOS but WOS fans know how to handle themselves with class. So with that said hopefully we can keep this forum to some good clean smack talk. Peace out.

Also, considering our scout staff needed an armed escort from the pressbox after the PAM game tells you the hostility we faced. Sure seem like a WOS homer considering that much time away from the area. But to each their own. Like I'll say for the THIRD time, I had no issue we the PAM team until their poster took shots at local teams, coaches, play calling, and lastly the communities. You'll see over the years that I have been consistent in my descent to posters for Summer Creek and Crosby for the same thing. Call it rants, I call it facts. No...it is fact. Go win a second championship and I'll cheer you. I remember listening on the radio in 1987 when WOS won it. Not sure if you were in the area then, but it was huge. robanadana
Got a message from a good friend who is a HUGE PAM fan I sat with at the game about what was going on in this thread. Been too busy to be around the board much this year but I hate seeing this. What happened is what happened for whatever reason it happened. I have exactly zero belief it was racially motivated....probably more gamesmanship. Personally, I think Xbox was going to pull out all stops after the embarassment from 2016. This discussion should have taken place during the PAM / Vidor thread (the game we didn't show up for). Our past is our past and it should stay there, IN THE PAST. Or maybe everyone here can explain it to the black children on our team (of which the number is growing exponentially). I doubt we'll ever see PAM in a football game again unless we do it in the pre-district play. We're down to 1280 kids and I predict 4A within four years. For my part, I spent $10 to watch the Temple game on Texan Live and it was worth every penny. I do want to know where the safety help was for the cornerback with 52 seconds left in the game. Seriously? Extremely proud of how the Titans represented SETX and congratulations on a great season. They didn't just make the playoffs, they made it three rounds deep and were 50 seconds away from beating a very good Temple team (all 3 teams that beat Temple this season are still playing this week). Pak, I'm sure you're not the only one with high expectations for them. Once you get to this part of the playoffs, all the teams are good or great. But, if for some reason, Kenny was let go, I hope PAM doesn't pull a Tennessee and listen to the fans on who to hire. Be careful what/who you wish for. And Kenny would find a job just fine in that case. I'm sure he makes calls that fans don't like (I see it on here), but you're assuming the replacement will be better. Hey berry, try to see it my way... let’s be honest this district was a three team district with no competition. Those hicks in the neighboring district is even worse. So with the raw talent PAM have, ANY COACH can beat one or both MC schools which promise you a D1 #1 seed. That means you get that weak D1 runner up first rd and some garabsge Houston/Galveston Co school second and that get you past the first two rounds. Then you face real coaching and teams that will crap on MC schools, which at that point is your toughest teams you played lol. I said all that to say this, like all the haters that will hate in August will say, PAM should be 4th or 5th round every year. Xbox gets out coached in the third rd... that team in 2011 got that far on talent. Example the kid we called the honey badger, didn’t play during Cibolo Steele game, for a good reason, but the freshman corner they put in got picked on and was the weak link. Xbox is not that much different from Dean Colbert. When jamaal left and talent dried up, PAM struggled horribly. When PAM was in 6a with NO GOOD QB play, imo an overhyped running back that’s doing okay now, it showed he could not coach. The only thing I credit Xbox with is the kids will go through the fire for him. MhsTitans
