Center is a quality team. Lost in regional semifinal last year to Argyle, 47-45.

Game in Center, over 2 hours away, Tuesday night, small gym, local officiating chapter that may not be used to Silsbee "style".

I had seen this conflict on the schedules earlier in the year.  Noticed The one was changed to 7:30 the other day.  It wasn’t until today, even with a child in school, that I realized Silsbee is still in school so it has to be 7:30.

Coach Sigler told me today game time is 7:30

Those  factors may well keep it close to that margin.  Not sure it would stay that close without them though.

Wasn’t doubting that at all, that what I was stating,  we are still in school not out until Friday so I should have realized that sooner than I did.

Silsbee by 25.  Center beat Central Heights by one at CH.   We (Huntington) was within two possessions with a minute to play with Center. I know it's about match ups but I don't see this game close in the fourth. Close game at the half with Silsbee pulling away mid third. 98-73.

Center has some solid players but I think Silsbee will be far too much.

Silsbee by 20 plus.  Beating CH by one is nothing to be ashamed of though.  CH has a solid team this year.  All about styles of play as well, and who controls tempo.

Will be a homecoming for Coach Sigler. He is a graduate of Center High School.

Center's visitor's section might hold 100 folks and that will have to include the freshman and JV teams if they are playing as well.  Poor excuse for a fairly new facility.

I think Silsbee wins comfortably. Center is a very good team, but Silsbee has played a ridiculous schedule so far.  They've more than prepared themselves to beat up on a quality 4A team.  I'll say 93-73

Center has a depth issue this year. That will most likely be a factor. But they do have a couple towers that can control the boards.

Center is no push over for sure. Silsee better better be prepared for a tough game. They have some kids who can go. I remember while I was in high school we played them in the Lufkin Tourney back in 95. We beat them by like 30 or more.

Hope you are right...Yates' bench is deep and will not tire out. If that game happens it will be a challenge for Silsbee. But I think they pull it off.

Yates is pretty good. They are deeper than us this year but our 5 is better than their 5. So we will see

I'd love to go but I don't think I can make it.  I've got elf work to do all week.  I think it will be a close game and fun to watch, worth the drive.  It's the intangibles.  Long uncomfortable bus ride in gloomy weather.  School tomorrow with finals coming up.  Unfamiliar surroundings.  Christmas stuff on their minds.  That's a lot of junk for a teen to deal with.  It's a scenario for a possible upset, unlikely but possible.

Midlothian Heritage was one missed basket away from beating Denton Guyer this year.

Silsbee is gonna have some work to do if they make it past Yates and get to state.
