Guest pirates Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 Vidor's Freshman pitcher, Hester pitches a one hitter. The hit came in the last inning with two outs.

getdown Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 I remember playing against a pitcher from Vidor in the late 80s named Odell Hester. We played against him in summer ball after the reg. HS season ended. I'm pretty sure his dad was the coach of that team too. I wonder if he is related to this pitcher.
piratefan Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 How about them Pirates!! And how about that Freshmen??
getdown Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 What do you mean by "nothing has changed in Lumberton?" We're looking into buying a house there. Is there something I need to know?
ofrover Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 Just talking about the baseball program. They talk big, but still manage to lose games.

WTB Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 Actually things have changed a lot in Lumberton. The discipline last year was horrible and the kids and parents tried to run the team but this year it is nothing like that. The kids work hard and are disciplined and there is a lot of young Talent so it might take a little time but the sophomore and freshman groups are strong and the upcoming freshman next year is suppose to be a very good group but right now we are riding a bumpy road.
ofrover Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 Thats good. Discipline is a good place to start. Lumberton has enough talent to beat anyone on any given day. Go compete, play the games, have fun and see if you can make this district even more interesting.
