i thought this was his first year? was he not renewed after football season which led to his resignation? this is happening far too often in todays coaching world. 1 and done used to be a phrase we used to describe a college basketball athlete who does 1 year college and declares for the draft, now its fitting for so many coaches across the state of texas.

Spoke with Sup Wallis.  He advised that he did receive Mr. Doughty resignation this morning effective immediately.  The job should be posted by tomorrow.  He advised that he spoke with Doughty and Doughty informed him that after discussion with his family over the break he made the decision to turn in his resignation.  He advised that he wanted to do what was best for the program and his family.  Wallis advised that he expressed his appreciation for the job he has done while at KCISD and would recommend him to anywhere he ended up applying.  Wallis did advise that plans were to set an end date and move ahead quickly with hiring process.

What type of talent does Kirbyville have for the next couple years? Is the talent level going to be down agin next year or do they have some players coming up?

Some good talent coming up through 7th and 8th grade

There is talent right now just got to implement the right system and put kids in the right spot

Not saying there is not talent already, just saying that there is some coming up.
