Nederland didn't win, refs did. I would be ashamed to be a Nederland fan. Not just refs but the way the players played and you JV freshman players were yelling at our players from the other side of the floor. So embarrassing for Nederland school district.

Are you high?

I would love to know what game you watched they have no respect for anyone the officials where awful and the student section which consisted of jv and freshman players should know how to act also. I can take a loss anyday,  but not like it was tonight. In all though it's normal Nederland homecooking at its best.

You lost by 24 and the game was never in question.  Nederland’s starters barely played half of the game or it would have been way worse.

I realize basketball(I guess I should say sports in general) isn’t really Lumberton’s thing, but if 15 students cheering for their team bothers you, then I don’t know what to say.  I made the comment that the atmosphere in the Dog Dome has really gone downhill in the last 20 years.  That place used to be rocking every Friday night.  Just be glad you never walked into the Beehive in the 80’s & 90’s.  I can’t imagine how much you would have cried when you left that place.

Cheering for your team is different but making jokes about the other players behind their backs and yelling at them is totally different. Tell you one thing you don't ever hear our student section (made up of other basekball players) at basketball games talk to the opposing team like Nederland did tonight.

I was ignored Tuesday, so I'll say it again today...  Can I get stat line?

I think most of us have moved on from the borderline obsessive fixation you have on a 16 year old kid.  My personal guess is it stems a bit from jealousy from something other than stats, but who knows.  Anyway, it kind of got tiresome which would explain any ignoring.  As for stats, I would suggest the PA News.  Most papers are available online now.

I would like to apologize for the City of Nederland as a whole.  The students should have definitely not made jokes behind the players backs.  Hopefully the next time the students do it when the Lumberton players are facing them.  We will try to do better.  Once again, I’m sorry.

And Lumberton will just look at them because our boys have class

No infatuation.  But genuine interest.  Please don't get it twisted.  I want to know. In the past, I've requested for stat lines of players that I've followed.  It's a problem NOW. I wonder why.

Anyway, I thank the other poster for seriously answering my question.

Lumbertongirl that’s basketball. You are fishing and trying to get something that’s not there. Y’all took a big L. Student section was yelling and getting into the opppsing teams head which it did and the fans of lumberton too it looks like. I guess everyone should get a trophy and everyone make the playoffs huh?

Didn’t Lumberton/Baytown Lee have a much publicized “brawl” a couple years ago in Lumberton? Is this the basketbrawl “class” you speak of that your kids have that NISD kids don’t?” Asking for a friend...

    • I don’t benefit from it, that’s not my area.  But the average cost to imprison someone is around $15k per year (on average in the US) and capital cases cost somewhere between $1.5-$3M with over half being overturned or reduced to life in prison anyway.  These numbers may be inflated since the last report I read but I’m sure it would be on both sides and higher on the DP side if anything. So what’s the point?  We feel better because we got to return the favor on someone (hopefully) who committed a heinous crime?  And I don’t know I can say we have “complicated” it. Which appeal should we cut out?  Our justice system has a pecking order and we have higher courts for a reason. When we are about to impose the ultimate judgment, should we cut steps that other cases have to save a buck?  Or do we not pay for an indigent person’s experts at the trial court level because it’s too expensive? Or do we just lock them up and throw away the key (unless we later find out they weren’t actually guilty, in which case we have a key and a life we haven’t unjustly ended) and save a ton of money?  Seems to me to be an easy and obvious solution but I’m more of a pragmatist.

    • @CIS_org National Security Senior Fellow @BensmanTodd tells Steve Bannon how the U.S. State Department and USAID have been sending American taxpayer funds to religious nonprofits to facilitate mass immigration to our southern border. Bensman says 248 nonprofits are participating in the United Nations’ 2024 agenda to distribute $1.6 billion in cash, transportation, food, and shelter to U.S.-bound immigrants across Mexico and Latin America.
