BABOLAT2 Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 Who do you think will be dominating singles and doubles next year. Word is a senior this year, so Carnley will go back to singles. Matt is graduating, but Mathew Deavers is still here. So what do ya think?
sportsfan07 Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 Well Deaver will dominate even more than he did this year, but besides him and then Scott from Warren. I think Tyler is graduating, but if not him too. Looks like it could be weak with everyone else. I dont know.
garsnare Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 You are forgetting "Bug" and Kenton from Kelly, and I think Grant Lopez (super 14) from Nederland will be a freshman. If Carnley would practice tennis as much as he talks about it on here, he might actually be a good tennis player, instead of just a mediocre one.
BABOLAT2 Posted March 28, 2007 Author Report Posted March 28, 2007 Your right about Carnley, but I heard that after district he is going to be hitting the courts hard. He quit baseball, so there you are.
sportsfan07 Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 People are making to big of deal about this bug guy. I have seen him play and any decent player out there could beat him. He can keep the balls in play, but they are all short. Any decent player would take advantage of him and completely smash him. But i will admit for a 14 superchamp, he is really good. Now when he becomes a senior, then we can start talking about how great he is.
vetgurll2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Report Posted March 30, 2007 You are forgetting "Bug" and Kenton from Kelly, and I think Grant Lopez (super 14) from Nederland will be a freshman. If Carnley would practice tennis as much as he talks about it on here, he might actually be a good tennis player, instead of just a mediocre one.DUDE! What is your problem ??? Apparently you have some kind of beef for Carnley.... you need to chill out...he's one of the only ones you have been dissing on here. Where's the love? I LOVE YOU CARNLEY!!!!
garsnare Posted March 30, 2007 Report Posted March 30, 2007 I'm not dissing Carnley. I'm just telling the truth.
badknees5 Posted March 30, 2007 Report Posted March 30, 2007 this sunday april1st Lamar university men play their first of only2(thanks to the previous coach) home matches . play starts at noon w/ doubles then singles to follow. Come see some high quality tennis and support our local university.
tbs8590 Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 i'm thinking cody luttrell, kenton boone, clement wehner... all from kelly will do some damage next year... and im not sure about deaver dominating.. as for next year its whoever goes out and practices the most over the summer.. there are some camps all around so whoever is most active should do really well...
tbs8590 Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 you act like deaver is a god... pretty sure sagar desai took a set of him and could have beaten him... and recently i beat sagar... not in tournament play but in a match... deaver isn't that amazing of a player...
sum_1 Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 well im pretty sure he can beat you, so you shouldnt be talkin crap on him.
tbs8590 Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 im not talking crap on deaver... hes a good player hes just not as good as yall make him out to be...
tbs8590 Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 it doesnt matter who i am... and i think im alright... not amazing or anything... who are you
jcb6790 Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 tbs is being modest.. he is very good. ive never seen deaver play a whole match so i cant compare the two. but trust me when i say you will see great things from him next year, even better than he did this year.
minicko88 Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 Next year will be fun to watch, but i will have to say Deaver has a huge edge. But don't count out any of the other players, because anything can happen. Watch out for Boone, Bug, and Carnley, they are all pretty strong players. I have played Boone and Carnley before and they could be a force to wrecken with next year, but still i have to pick Deaver winning mainly everything. But still you never know.
That_Asian_Guy Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 Trevor Sims of PN-G could be a force to be reckon with. he has a really good kick serve and good game all around and Brent Pham is also another good player to watch for, he is consistent like no other.
aeropro7 Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 Next year will probably be alot of Deavers.....if he works hard over the summer. The kids at ETA are putting in 5 hours a day all summer. So anyone from there can give Deavers a run if they continue to improve. Boone, Bug, Wehner, all have a chance. And Sum_1 chill out on TBS. He would probably beat you 1 and 1.
sportsfan07 Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I LAUGH AT THAT LAST COMMENT
tbs8590 Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 dude you really dont know tennis... anyone can beat anyone...
