I can't figure out why they continue to put Jake Marisnick in the line-up. I actually like the guy and enjoyed getting to watch him last year, but just stop it already. 122 at bats, 20 hits, 59 strikeouts and 4 walks. It's almost an automatic out. Just stop it already. Marisnick and Fisher just look like they may not have it and Reddick is struggling. It's time for Tucker to get some swings and see what he can do. Quote
baddog Posted June 17, 2018 Report Posted June 17, 2018 Astros complete the 10 game road trip undefeated.....on an 11 game win streak. Giles looks to be a better setup man than closer. Rondon is looking very good. Wish we still had the Dotel/Wagner combo. They were lights out. BellBiz30 1 Quote
baddog Posted June 21, 2018 Report Posted June 21, 2018 Springer, Bregman, Altuve......Bam, Bam, Bam. Three HRs in a row......Altuve's second of the game. Scored 5 runs in the whole game, four were solo shots. Altuve's HRs hit the train tracks. Glad I got to see that. Quote
baddog Posted June 25, 2018 Report Posted June 25, 2018 Astros kicking A and taking names. I am lucky enough to say I will be at the July 25 game against the Rockies at Coors Field. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted July 21, 2018 Report Posted July 21, 2018 He’s getting it figured out  The last seven Dallas Keuchel starts: 5-0 45 IP 2.00 ERA Quote
baddog Posted July 25, 2018 Report Posted July 25, 2018 I'm at Coors Field. Partly cloudy with a chance of rain. Astros won 8-2 last night. Having a wonderful time. People very polite here. Tried to upload a pic. Too many MPs. Morton and that vicious curveball going tonight. Go Stros! LumRaiderFan 1 Quote
baddog Posted July 26, 2018 Report Posted July 26, 2018 Walkoff HR to win it for the Rockies. Still had a good time. We split the series. Lots of Astros fans there. Quote
Hook'em Posted July 26, 2018 Author Report Posted July 26, 2018 Looked like a lot of orange there. Quote

He wasn't going to catch that ball anyway, but hey, it was a judgement call even with the replay. Stros will be fine. Fan was ejected. Quote

Tigers2010 Posted August 14, 2018 Report Posted August 14, 2018 Man this thing goes dead as hell when the Astros are losing. Talk about some fair weather fans. Pretty ridiculous. Â Quote

Pretty ridiculous.  Not a fair weather fan at all. I watched the Rangers and Mariners sweep my Stros. In between, we won 6 pf 7. That,s where my post above came in. Now, nothing to report worth discussing. We desperately need Springer and Altuve. Closing pitching cannot hold a lead either. Those are heart breakers. Tigers2010 1 Quote
Tigers2010 Posted August 27, 2018 Report Posted August 27, 2018 Again, this thread is a little dead. It must be because the Red Sox have run away with MLB. Yeah, don't start beating the chest about last year. Good for you guys to finally get one. Hopefully Houston can shake off OAKLAND for the division. Quote
Tigers2010 Posted August 27, 2018 Report Posted August 27, 2018 Houston is relying 100% on great pitching. How long can the staff sustain it? I think you have seen them come back down to Earth, consequently Houston went on a massive losing streak. Why? Because they are trash. Guys had absolute career years and moments. This year, different story. Marisnick...garbage, Marwin...trash...Reddick...doo do... The only player on this roster who is not underachieving is Bregman. Correa, check the numbers. way down. Altuve is hitting 300+...yeah check the power numbers, way down, even before the DL stint. Gattis.....Great for a series, trash for a month. Verlander, getting hit harder than women at Osuna's bday party. just absolute trash. They getting even shake off Oakland for crying out loud. OOOOAAAKKKKLLLAAANNNDDD. Name 3 players on that team, its just sad how fast a team can fall into the dumpster. Quote

Tigers2010 Posted August 28, 2018 Report Posted August 28, 2018 Though some of the things i stated about the Stros are true. Down year for a lot of those main pieces from last year. Quote
baddog Posted August 28, 2018 Report Posted August 28, 2018 Besides Boston, I think the A's have been the hottest team in baseball. Astros need to keep the hits coming and widen the gap. Tigers2010 1 Quote
Tigers2010 Posted August 29, 2018 Report Posted August 29, 2018 Man, Osuna couldn't punch out the A's in the 9th. Shame, I thought he was hitting his spots effectively. Sometimes hitters just slap the ball around and there is nothing you can do about it. It's all good, he will have another opportunity to beat them tonight. Quote
