In 1968, in the Astrodome, Elvin Hayes & the Houston Cougars beat UCLA and Lew Alcindor, by 2 points.   A few months later UCLA put a 40 piece on the Cougars.  Stuff changes game to game.  Silsbee's season didn't end when they lost to Duncanville.  It is just getting started.

Regardless of who they get, I expect an easy 30-40 point win in that one.  HJ had a solid year, but they don’t have the talent like they’ve had in years past to run with the best in the state.  And lcm has had a very nice year by their standards, and HJ beat them by double digits when they played.

Yeah, apparently both quit before the playoff game.  Obviously that would’ve made no difference in the outcome, but an average team running a third string point guard against Yates’ (or silsbee, for that matter) press isn’t going to light it up offensively.
