So, is #23 for Yates as good as Quentin Grimes?

Different positions but  don’t think he’s as good  .but 23 is about 6’7 and plays like a throwback big man on the defensive end .. he can shoot if he’s open .. # 23 does everything well ... he  is super aggressive on both ends of the floor

#2 is their primary scorer..he has hit over fifty a couple of times...but  the last two games he hasn’t played as much ..he was in foul trouble last nite ..

lol I just remember all this talk about Yates last year and look what happened. I don't like the disrespect lol

One thing about it if Silsbee takes care business tonight they both will be one game away from playing one another and it gets settled. The thing about it game can go either way should be a interesting game.

No. Grimes was selected to the All American game for a reason and going to Kansas. The kid from Yates is very good but at the 6A level you see many kids his size and ability. He is going to SFA along with #2 Hughes. Both of those kids are good and Silsbee needs to put them in foul trouble.

There is a chance SFA would get those two plus two from Silsbee next year.

Silsbee will beat this Yates team by 15+ points. they have the guards to withstand the full court pressure. Yates allowed Hj great looks at the 3pt shot but uncharacteristically hj did not hit as many as they normally do. with a team like Yates you have to hit open shots. Their game plan is to get the long rebound and score in transition. Bush and Adams will not miss that many open attempts.

Does Silsbee have anyone that is talented as Quentin Grimes on this current team???

If Yates hit there current playoff average of 98ppg, it’s going to be difficult for anyone to beat them.

Can’t wait for Fridays Game.

If Silsbee plays Yates it would be Saturday at 1pm

Grimes going to Kansas and McDonald’s all American.  Mitch is a very good player and a huge get for SFA.   I believe if he would have been a fit with a Power 5 team if things had played out differently.  But even with completely different positions, Grimes is on a different level.  He should easily be Mr. basketball for the state of Texas this year.
