Ok I didn’t include 5A/6A because I wanted the smaller classifications to get some love. Obviously my basketball watching history doesn’t have much compared to a lot of posters on here. But I’d have to say the 03 3A Kountze state championship team, last years Silsbee  4A State championship team are probably the two best I’ve watched play. Anyone else’s opinion on the matter ?

If we’re including old 4A then the Central team from 2013-14 that went to the state tournament should be included.

4 D1 basketball players

4 D1 football players

1 D1 high jumper

and two guards in Harrison and Guillory who could’ve helped college programs but for whatever reason decided to quit playing.

This team was so talented it was a shame Toe Toe went down with an injury in that first quarter of that State Semifinal game  after dropping 8 in the first 4 minutes.

They were special.

Idk the final win total but i Know the 03 Kountze team only lost 2 games all year . One to PA Memorial and to eventual 5A state champions Houston Milby who was ranked 5th in the nation at the time by 13-15 points. Definitely was a special team.

That 2001 36-0 Ozen team is probably arguably the best team to ever come through SETX in any classification

I remember watching them at the state tourney. Had the guards and the bigs. They flew above the rim. Perk was a man amoung boys.

1988/89 and 94/95 PA Lincoln

03 Kountze

01 and 03 Ozen

2015-17 Silsbee both teams were solid top to bottom

BJ Tyler might have been the best player at state in Austin that year.  Shaq had just turned 17 (as a senior at SA Cole) and was still a little raw.

Agree.

Bo Outlaw could play a little bit too.

Stanly Bonowitz at San Antonio East Central could shoot light out! Hooe those Tugers make it back this year!

He sure could.  Stan had a nice career at Tech as well.   The ultimate coach’s kid.
