Tiger33 Posted February 23, 2018 Report Posted February 23, 2018 Not trying to be rude but Is this a modified list? 12 applicants? I know Kirbyville had a lot more. BlackShirts5 1 Quote

Yes, the original list of applicants was 65. This is the guys who made the cut of either being a Head Coach, OC or DC... Tiger33, Quacker37 and Yeoj 3 Quote

He started up Rosenberg Lamar Consolidated where he won a state championship in 2007. I wouldn't consider the 5 that haven't been head coaches before because if you are going to do that, you might as well just give it to Nelson or Taylor because at least you know what you are getting. The article says 6 but it's actually 7 that are either currently a head coach or been one in the past. I don't know how to post their records here but Jeff Nelson Ed Taylor Shaun Wynn Todd Wright Audie Jackson Lydell Wilson J.D. Jordan Quote
bobbymcgee Posted February 23, 2018 Report Posted February 23, 2018 Lydell Wilson only won at Lamar Consol because the Rodgers brothers. He was not great at CE King and he has just been so so at Seven Lakes. Would not be a bad hire and probably the best on that list. But temper your expectations if that’s the best BISD can get. TexazBall Posted February 23, 2018 Report Posted February 23, 2018 Todd Wright isnt a bad coach either, hes turned around a bad Waltrip team in the inner city of Houston.. If that's not tough idk wat is lol Alpha Wolf 1 Quote
ice74 Posted February 23, 2018 Report Posted February 23, 2018 Does anyone know anything about Kirk Botkin, Audie Jackson, or JD Jordan? Quote

ice74 Posted February 23, 2018 Report Posted February 23, 2018 Kirk Botkin is worth looking at, not because of his record but looking at where he has coached over the years I think he should be real contender if he interviews well. Coached under Spurrier at South Carolina, Defensive Coordinator at South Carolina State after that, University of Arkansas, and now at Dekaney. I could be totally off but it is an intriguing pick in my opinion. jkbtjc53, Alpha Wolf, TexazBall and 2 others 5 Quote
