Possible QB for Silsbee next year

Who will take over for Collins and how do you think they will look next season in the new district?

I look for Draelyn Taylor to play quarterback until one of the younger players is ready to fill the role.

Silsbee got a transfer from Kountze this past week that will help the running game.

I don't see why they would change it.  You have some good O-Linemen returning and the young guns Martin and Taylor  are back as well.

Unless they have a Freshman that can sling it, this will be a very run heavy offense. They have two good, young backs returning, but from what I saw last year there is not a QB in the program that can throw with any accuracy or arm strength.

Can he throw it?

Or are they going to run the single wing?

Have to be able to keep the defense honest.

They already have two Sophomores (Juniors to be) that rushed for over 1,000 yards each. Crowded backfield and no QB is not a recipe for success.

One of those RB could play QB and play it pretty good growing up... It will be interesting to see what they do.

My question was more or less geared toward the 3 good RBs and lack of a QB, in addition to the change in OC.

What kind of influence will the new OC have on them? Can he help develop a QB or what?

Corbin Johnson (Soph) was the JV QB last year until the last couple of games when he got moved up to varsity. Him and Jacob Collins would go through QB drills every day at practice with the QB coach. From what I saw he has a good touch on the deep pass and can throw the outs and slants, ok on roll outs. Not as strong of an arm as Collins but strong. Best thing about off season is you get to improve. If he is the next QB we’ll see.

Dunno. Wondering if they will run the same offense or something else. If no qb and new OC, will they make a big change?

Word at the Kountze Flea Market the other day was that Silsbee may be going Slot T...

I also 'heard' that one of the candidates for 2018 QB job is working with a former local QB which was an all state player in HS and all conference in college, who just so happen to have Silsbee ties.
