PlayActionPass
I guess that new District was just too tough for the "Home Town Hero."

PdaddyBball
Coldspring Diboll Franklin Crockett Trinity Elkhart Westwood Its going to be tough to get in with that district. Who do you have them beating to get 2 or even 3?

shepherddad
I see them beating Elkhart and Crockett. Crockett barely squeezed by them last year by 8 I think? Westwood is another W IMO. That's 3-3 and maybe can squeak by Oakhurst.
PdaddyBball
I'll say maybe Crockett. That's the game for the fourth place spot. Coldspring has been a 30 point deficit the last two years. CS has that RB coming back. Who does Trinity have to help counter that?
shepherddad
Heck if I know? YOu tell me who they have coming back? I know they had a running back in Junior High that was a big ole black kid that would be taken out the games early due to no one stopping him. Scores coulda been worse but they called off the dogs on us one time.

shepherddad
Haven't heard if they let everyone go or not? What is their pre-district schedule if anyone has access to it?

Crockett started a ton of Sophomores and still beat Trinity last year. Trinity may be improved next season but so will Crockett. There is a reason the "hometown Hero" left people. I just know that some very deserving coaches got overlooked in the hiring process a couple years ago, because the "Hometown Hero" was coming back to save the day. Kinda sad to leave those kids after only 2 years.

2wedge
Seems he had a wealth of community support in 2009 when he was passed over for the job. Maybe he is being pushed out by the political powers that be again, or maybe he went back just to hang the finger out of the window when he got ready to leave. Who knows. You didn't say guess in this post (hence the one I quoted you in).. you said "there is a reason the hometown hero left people " that implied to several of us that you were saying he left on his own. 2wedge

He was a hometown guy. Coming back home. If he left on his own after only 2 years, it reads there are admin problems, lack of athletes, etc. If was let go, that's a whole different story. The people who are applying for this job know the following: Trinity was 6-15 over the last two years and that the coach that they are applying to replace is out the door two years after he took over. I think that should be enough to have an applying coach be eyes wide open to the fact that he is probably not going to enter into an ideal situation

But isn't the whole point of these type message boards to learn information on job openings, schools, etc this time of year?

But you keep pestering a poster who has mentioned on multiple occasions he does not know whether or not Droddy left on his own accord. He doesn't know and repeatedly asking him if he knows ain't gonna change that.
