DenisGScott Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 its the best in the SLC but who is it up against seriously???? Then again the SLC is a joke, played their postseason tournament in a high school gym in Houston. Just go back to whoever wins the regular season gets to host the conference tournament.
Lazeek Posted March 24, 2007 Author Report Posted March 24, 2007 THe Montagne Center is far and away hte best of the SLC!!!!! In fact is nicer than any arena in the state with the exception of UT and ATM!! I do agree that I like the higher seed team in the SLC hosting the games!!! As far as playing in a HS gym that is not the case. The Aldine Arena is nicer than any other SLC arena!!! It is incredible!!!!
UNLV Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 I think there is some type of agreement between the Montagne and Ford park to not have any basketball events at Ford park. Also the Montagne is getting a video board to replace the scoreboard. When? I don't know.

It is incredible!!!!it may be "incredible" but what does it say for the schools in the conference. To the outside observer watching on ESPN2, they must be sitting there thinking 'these schools gyms must suck to have to play in a high school arena.'
Underdawg Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 ;)If all this happens I'll be really surprised. It'll be great for the University and it'll be great for the students to have more of a University type atmosphere. They need this and they need it now.
BLUEDOVE3 Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 Maybe the football stadium is being improved for our soccer team and high school football games.
Ruckdad Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 But they are building a seperate field house for soccer and football. And the University would not be spending that kind of money just so they could host HS football games. Neither would they be adding women's soccer and women's softball without a plan to add football.
davidortizfan Posted April 1, 2007 Report Posted April 1, 2007 LU is becoming a better and better university every single year. it is getting closer to one of the best universities in tha entire state of texas i think.. and just think what itll be like when the improvements happen in 2009?!?!
JohnnyT60 Posted April 1, 2007 Report Posted April 1, 2007 I agree, the University has come light years under the new leadership, and also has big plans for the future. When the time comes, the community needs to rally around this university.
