The Kirbyville Wildcats continue their 2018 Class 3A play quest as they take on the New Waverly Bulldogs in Game 1 of this Region III quarterfinal best of 3 series.  Craig Jones' Wildcats reached this round with a bi-district sweep (10-5 and 5-2) of Coldspring-Oakhurst and an area round sweep (5-0, 11-5) of Corrigan-Camden to reach this round.  The Bulldogs also reached this round via a couple of sweeps (Hemphill in bi-district, East Chambers in area) to reach this round.

The winner of this series will face the winner of the Groesboeck/West 3 game series, which also kicks off tonight in Corsicana.
