Craig Jones' Wildcats reached this round with a bi-district sweep of Rice Consolidated (11-0, 3-0), an area round sweep of Corrigan-Camden (5-0, 11-5) and a regional quarterfinal sweep of New Waverly (8-2, 13-1). The Trojans reached this round with a bi-district 2-1 series win over Jarrell (7-0, 4-6, 12-0), an area round sweep of Elkhart (12-0, 6-2) and a 2-1 regional quarterfinal series win over Groesbeck (7-5, 1-3, 4-1). The winner of this series will face the winner of the Clifton/Nacogdoches Central Heights series.
