stevenash Posted June 21, 2018 Report Posted June 21, 2018 Listened to the media play a video of retained children calling out for Mommy and Daddy, in English. Didn't know that people from El Salvador, Guatemala, etc would be so fluent in our language( or could they possibly have been instructed on what words to use or possibly not actually been illegal immigrants? nah, the integrity laden media would never do something like that) 77 1 Quote

When the children are crying for their parents, they are saying "mami" and "papá" which are Spanish for mommy and father. Literally anyone with the most basic understanding of Spanish would know that. Especially those that don't wrap themselves up in crackpot conspiracy theories. Quote

Sorry sir, but you obviously did not hear what I heard. Therefore your supposition is incorrect Quote

stevenash Posted June 23, 2018 Author Report Posted June 23, 2018 Does Mommy and Daddy sound the same to you as mommy and Papa? Quote

stevenash Posted June 24, 2018 Author Report Posted June 24, 2018 Daddy was not translated, it was spoken as Daddy. ( not papi) Quote
pdawg119 Posted June 24, 2018 Report Posted June 24, 2018 I listened to it again. I clearly heard papá. I don't know HOW you're hearing "daddy." Unless it's one of those Laurel vs. Yanny deals. Quote
