In a State where the Avg home is $440,000 & Rent is 50% higher than the nation, and $500 dollars a month is going to get folks out of poverty? That’s $6,000 a year - being done by the same people that think McDonald employees should be making top wages? You could scratch your head bald trying to rationalize this. This program will eventually run dry. Again -- go for it! Any gov revenue stream eventually needs federal funding, especially if it's in danger of running dry. Eventually the "wealthy Silicon Valley moguls" will quit funding it and guess who will step in? In the words of the late great Ronald Reagan..."The closest thing to eternal life on earth is a Government Program". BS Wildcats
This money will be used just as the dumbarses in NOLA used what they received after Hurricane Katrina. It will be used for tattoos and drugs among other things, not where they should use it. A colossal waste of money, imo. PhatMack19
Libs aren’t very bright... This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up Short story is they have given illegal aliens the right to vote in local elections, but now they are worried that ICE will use it to deport illegals. So they are going to spend 500K to educate people on the risks of voting.
baddog
$37G per homeless person per year DOES NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM, yet $6G per year ( that's $500 per month for Big Girl ) will do it. You libs are really backward when it comes to money. It grows on trees for some of you, but alas, the trees are dying. Soon, you will have nothing to eat but each other. San Francisco continues to spend big in fight against homelessness -- but is it working?
