Bigdog Posted July 24, 2018 Author Report Posted July 24, 2018 So, just a little math here (with a calculator) . If you have a house that is valued at $100,000 , Depending where you live : You would pay $1150 in taxes to NISD You would pay $1294 in taxes to BMT ISD You would pay $1444 in taxes to PNG ISD You would pay $1480 in taxes to PAISD and you would pay $1340 in taxes to HJISD. This is not taking in account tax exceptions of course such as homestead, over 65 , disabled Vet , etc. mat 1 Quote

Doesn't matter what PNG, United, Vidor or any other fans think..It's always easy to spend others money... Why isn't this logic used when discussions of BISD and their stadium name comes up? You are comparing apples to oranges. NISD's allocations, expenditures, and decision to pass a bond (or not) probably is the concern of the NISD taxpayers, as long as the district is performing adequately. Its a judgement call that a case for or a case against can be honestly made. Of course, it still needs to be "open and transparent" to all. Conversely, BISD's wretched history of theft, corruption, ugly racial politics and gross underperformance which ultimatly resulted the district being taken over and placed in state conservatorship by the TEA, stained the reputation of the entire SE TX region. Even as a (former) BISD taxpayer, I was told to BUTT OUT of any BISD discussions in this forum, even as those very same ones refused to reciprocate by staying out of all disucssions that were NOT BISD. NHSBulldogFan Posted July 24, 2018 Report Posted July 24, 2018 This website comes in handy This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up Actually Nederland ISD might have the lower school tax rate but PNG actually has the lower school taxes because their homestead exemption includes a 20% exemption PLUS 25,000 so using 100,000 dollar home as an example PNG's taxes would be 794.43 vs. Nederland at 862.50. bulldawg64 and bulldog81 2 Quote

My post was not a condemnation of Nederland, I was taking a jab at the self righteous lowlife Supt. at Barbers Hill who ranted & raved about Vidor’s field because it was muddy after 3 days of monsoon rains. Of course when you’re blessed with a tax base like Barbers Hill, you can afford artificial turf fields, new facilities, and an indoor practice area. Unfortunately, most school districts aren’t that blessed. Btw, I agree 100% with you. NISD Taxpayers are the only one who’s opinion matters. Alpha Wolf, PN-G bamatex and 88Warrior 3 Quote

Trust and believe, I stay out of Bubble Business unless provoked the vast majority of the time But as a current and long time BISD taxpayer, which knows the theft didn't begin in 1996 due to briefly working for said district, I think you and other should stay out of it period. Do unto others for a change. You don't have to sit on your high horse and rain down judge for every single thing. BMTSoulja1 1 Quote
aki1994 Posted August 1, 2018 Report Posted August 1, 2018 Rumor I heard this weekend was that Ned will be installing industrial grade fire monitors to more efficiently soak the field pre any game with PN-G. Should save taxpayers some money over time as opposed to rolling out 50 water hoses. png9mon, The Icon, Alpha Wolf and 2 others 5 Quote

navydawg31 Posted October 4, 2018 Report Posted October 4, 2018 So now as a NISD tax payer we had to rent and pay money to rent to practice at The Butch yesterday. This is getting pathetic, whenever the bonds come vote yes to new schools and new facilities. Long over due, PS this isn’t the first time we had to rent somewhere to do this, we have had to do it at PNG and Lamar in the past as well. BMTSoulja1 1 Quote
Hagar Posted October 4, 2018 Report Posted October 4, 2018 I just have a question for all my Bulldog friends. If y’all get a new stadium, are y’all going to partition the Governor to put the old one in the States Historical Registry? The Devil made me do it lol. The Icon and PN-G bamatex 2 Quote
