I actually like AAW's picks...  Except I would've had Lumberton #2, Huffman still #1....

And, ummm, guys, it's not a far fetched thought that Silsbee would beat WO-S.

Not a far fetched assumption at all considering WOS is “down” this year. But I will say that Silsbee seems to have a lot of wrinkles to iron out as well.

It is not far fetched at all, the Mustangs have a number of new faces this year.

WOS has played an equivalent of two extra seasons the past 4 years.  And Silsbee is big, fast and deep, something they don't see until they get in the playoffs, non district withstanding. 

I'm not ready to crown the Tigers champs but it wouldn't be a shock either.

For me it’s kinda hard to see that. I’m probably gonna throw up and regret saying this but I usually never bet against WOS on anyone they play in setx.

Lol “down year”WOS has a pretty young team but trust me it won’t be a down year,I do believe Silsbee will have to be beat twice for WOS to get back to the promise land though!!

Good deal. Should be a good match ups. I guess it’s hard for me to pick against them since they have not lost a district game in 8 years. They are like 91-12 since Cornel Thompson took over the program.

You do realize HISD Austin lost their qb ? A buddy of mine works there and said their freshman class has disappeared since the head coach resigned. They will have only 6-7 coaches and will start a 300lb DT at QB. tough sledding

I hope my Tigers make this prediction valid.  I also hope even if it doesnt come true that it isnt like so many of these past years where there is a lot of talk and then a lopsided loss.  In all honesty we have to prove ourselves, the district belongs to WOS until we make a statement.

While I would not pick against WOS because they simply have been the best in the state in the last 4 years it's not unreasonable to pick with what Silsbee has in the barrel this season

Do ppl realize that all of there better players were under classmen.the only person that was a major key was jarron morris.and our qb gave us all he had.but he wasn't a passing Qb. And it showed in the sc game. In case they don't know they have 2 Qbs this year.watson was a better runner but both these kids are better passers. And let's not forget abt mr.k. Cooper who was there best player.will be a problem for anyone !!

I agree I think they are hands down the team to beat. I guess my comment is more to the fact that Silsbee closed the gap this season.
