AggiesAreWe Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 My son Reid, who has autism, plays in this league. It is the greatest thing since sliced bread. We gladly drive from Silsbee all the way to Bridge City every Saturday to play little league baseball. My son loves it and we do too.If anyone needs something to do on a Saturday, venture down to Bridge City and check out these very special baseball players. I guarantee you will get a treat in watching these kids play.
KFDM COOP Posted March 26, 2007 Author Report Posted March 26, 2007 kogtSeven year old Jonah Chance watches the ball after a great swing during the opening day ceremonies of the Challenge League at Bridge City Little League Park Saturday. The league for physically and mentally challenged athletes was started some 16 years ago with 12 kids and now they have 77 players with some traveling more than an hour to play because its the only league of its kind in the area. Before the game the field was dedicated to Keith Benoit who was instrumental in starting the league.
