STiger85 Posted August 17, 2018 Report Posted August 17, 2018 The Silsbee Tigers will host the Vidor Pirates in both teams first scrimmage of the year. The freshman and JV will get things started off around the 5:00 hour and Varsity will start around the 7:00 hour. A good first scrimmage for both teams. SETX High School football is finally here. L-Train11 Posted August 17, 2018 Report Posted August 17, 2018 A very good scrimmage for both teams. Vidor will run the same style offense that Silsbee will see a few times in district, and Silsbee’s speed will get Vidor ready for their district. Hagar 1 Quote
Hagar Posted August 17, 2018 Report Posted August 17, 2018 I agree. This should be a big help to both teams. Sleepy1 1 Quote

aTmfan06 Posted August 17, 2018 Report Posted August 17, 2018 Curious to see how Silsbee’s Defense performs as far as tackling and stuff. Quote
MBaller#1 Posted August 17, 2018 Report Posted August 17, 2018 How is the tigers QB situation if they have a good QB then they could go far I really haven’t seen or heard much on the tigers I have been looking for information on them but no one is posting much. Quote

I’m not sure the qb situation has been decided yet. Quote
BADSANTA Posted August 17, 2018 Report Posted August 17, 2018 Not sure on the QB. I think they may not be as solid as years last but we will see. Quote
MBaller#1 Posted August 17, 2018 Report Posted August 17, 2018 There is a lot of media hype about the tigers making a deep playoff run so I was just curious they finally showed them on channel 6 the other night but was just wondering L-Train11 1 Quote

STiger85 Posted August 17, 2018 Author Report Posted August 17, 2018 For the first time in three years there will not be a senior directing the Tigers offense, this will be in the hands of juniors. I believe the coaches know who the starter will be, but because nether QB has played a significant roll in a varsity game at QBs they have been grilled hard at practice. Both QBs have been given quality amount of time at QB in practice, they have come a long way in these past two weeks and they have a long ways to go. Can't wait to see how our young QBs react to playing another team, can't wait to see how this years version of the Tigers start the year off. TigerNation!!! Quote
Sleepy1 Posted August 17, 2018 Report Posted August 17, 2018 This should be a great learning experience for both teams. I’m curious to see how my Pirates look this season as we will be facing some incredibly tough teams this year. Hagar 1 Quote

One thing you’ll find out for sure, is whether their defense will stay home or not. Of course the Tigers have seen it a lot, but probably not often by a team that runs it as well as Vidor. And being 5A, probably a little better athletes. Should be one of the better scrimmages tonight. Btw, I see Grad has a thread for the scrimmage. Hope someone post some highlights tonight. I’ll be checking. Good luck to both squads. Quote
