KFDM COOP Posted March 25, 2007 Report Posted March 25, 2007 Busch fends off Burton in Car of Tomorrow debutBRISTOL, Tenn. -- Kyle Busch earned the honor as the first winner in a Car of Tomorrow Sunday in the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway. Busch held off Jeff Burton by a few feet in a side-by-side overtime finish when the race ended with a green-white-checkered showdown after a late caution. Pole-winner Jeff Gordon overcame early handling problems to finish third. Tony Stewart led 257 of the first 289 laps, but a fuel problem ended his chances of winning the race.
