Bigdog Posted August 30, 2007 Report Posted August 30, 2007 The real question is could any 22-4A team finish in the top half of 23-4A? I don't think so. LaMarque, Friendswood, Texas City, and Angleton (and probably Dickinson) are all better than any team from 22-4A.Ned beat angelton 44-17 and 32-30 a couple of years ago.We played TC in 04 and 05, scores were 37-7 and 38-14- Nederland respectively. We split our games in '04 and '05 with Friendswood both were double OT games. We lost by 7 points to the state championship Cougars last year.So what was your point?

FriendswoodFan Posted August 30, 2007 Report Posted August 30, 2007 Well, since Dayton is the class of your district, I guess we'll see come 9/14. What are your predictions for the game? I say the Mustangs by 10!
KFDM COOP Posted September 6, 2007 Report Posted September 6, 2007 After week 0 who does everyone have? Top 3?
NedDog Posted September 6, 2007 Report Posted September 6, 2007 Not much has changed as far as I am concerned . . .Dayton and Central vie for the #1 & 2 spots. After that, I think it is pretty much wide open.
PURPLE 4EVER Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 According to the Houston Chronicles ratings...4A 1) La Marque (1-0) 2) Friendswood (1-0) 3) Lamar Consolidated (1-0) 4) Rosenberg Terry (0-0) 5) Dayton (0-1) 6) Nederland (1-0) 7) Brenham (0-1) Conroe Caney Creek (1-0) 9) Texas City (0-1) 10) El Campo (1-0) 11) Beaumont Central (1-0) 12) Crosby (1-0) 13) Angleton (1-0) 14) Houston Yates (0-1) 15) Dickinson (1-0) 16) Waller (0-1) 17) Galena Park (1-0) 18) Huntsville (1-0) 19) Montgomery (0-1) 20) Little Cypress-Mauriceville (0-1)Dayton finishes #1Nederland finishes #2Central finishes #3LCM finishes #4First off...Brenham is #8.It would be hard to rank Nederland behind Brenham after they just beat them.Central beat a 5A team and is still out of the top 10?Hard to predict what Nederland will do with the new QB, even after their game with Forest Brook (who shouldn't challenge Nederland that much). If the new QB gets off to a strong start I say Nederland takes the #3 spot.Nederland's first district game is HUGE.If Vidor is able to pull off an upset, Nederland follows with Central and can be staring at being 0 and 2 with the PNG game coming next.If Nederland is 2 and 1 after 3 games they get #3, if they are 1 and 2 it will be tough, although they pulled it off last year.PNG almost must be 3 and 0 to get the third spot. They close with Central and Dayton, I don't see the Tribe winning both or even one of those games. If LCM can beat PNG again the Nederland vs LCM game will be big...SO MANY QUESTIONS!!!!I say...Dayton #1Central #2Nederland #3PNG #4LCM #5
football04 Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 1. Dayton - lots of tallent at the moment2. Nederland - QB concerns, but defense much improved3. Central - no more Brandon, although still lots of tallent4. PNG / LCM / Ozen - lots of " we should have won "8. Vidor - will upset someone9. Lumberton - some good athletes, just not enough in 4a
