Hagar
For the 2015-16 school year, the DOE reported 235 shootings in schools (includes accidental discharge). That was much higher than many thought. So NPR contacted every school that reported shootings. The actual number, 11 (Eleven). That difference is enough to make your head spin. This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up I love the last sentence, which is precisely my initial thought when reading this: Last sentence: "So you have the Trump DOE (accidentally) inflating the number of school shootings and NPR setting the record straight. I wouldn’t have predicted either part of that happening." I would go even further and say I would have predicted that the Trump DOE would have actually did due diligence in getting accurate numbers, and NPR inflating the numbers. My faith in government numbers stays the same (just south of zero), while my faith in NPR has heightened substantially (up to zero). From what little I've looked at lately, after FOX, NPR is more accurate than the rest of the media. It's a sad commentary.
