Just building ours boys confidence to make that run through district ;)

Let me ask you a serious question do you think y’all could have beat any of our first 3 games? The only 1 that I think LCM will win is HJ. Building confidence in a non  competative game is not always good. I like that we are battling stronger teams so when district comes around hopefully we feel it’s a non competitive game lol

Well I know the answer to one of those teams because we played Jasper. We lost our starting rb in the first quarter and still kept it a lot closer than y’all did.

woodville- maybe, or the same outcome as our Jasper game. We’d keep it respectable

Wos- no

At the point we are at as a program, I believe instilling confidence is important for us. Now next year or whenever they rework schedules, yeah I would like to see some better teams. We can keep Jasper and Silsbee, I like those two.

Woodville big up front. I think they have d1 rb. Y’all might have defended the run better we can’t stop a wing t / double wing team. I heard we improved against Jasper. We will see what happeneds I still see us in the playoffs

For sure, I don’t think Huffman is as good as everyone thought, y’all probably get the second or third spot

Back to the original question, I do not believe this will be a cupcake game. Another site shows them to be a pretty even matchup. Concordia will have some talent and a lot of discipline.  With that said, I think we will be ok in this one and will get some looks we need to prepare for district.

Furr and Kirbyville were good confidence booster wins.  Don't assume Concordia Lutheran is in the same private school talent level as to the likes of Kelly. Concordia is well coached, quick, disciplined and they run a very efficient offense. They have had great success in other sports and show to have great athletes. This will be no cakewalk for the Lumberton Raiders. A win here will have to be earned.

I’m going with Concordia Lutheran on this one. Basing that decision off last years scores on max preps. Played St. Pius X to an 11 point game 53-42. That St Pius team beat College Station by 17. I know it was last years team but it’s something to go off of.

Hey bootleg, please read this ^^ and actually gain some knowledge on the team instead of just reading the teams name and deciding they suck...

Man you know it was funny. I started the whole cup cake thing I’m sorry.  How many seniors graduated from that team last year? I didn’t go into reading it because we are not playing them.

    • Has Elmo gotten his aggy premature extension yet?  Pay him already because you guys were exactly right - he really does “get you.” 😂🤣
    • It’s been awhile, but I seem to remember 5 D starters out & 2 O starters out (OL). A big difference is that Simon wasn’t involved yet. He’s totally changed LP’s rushing attack from last year as a bruising, explosive addition to Barnes, Sandolph & Bright. Last year—and early this season—LP was missing that element. Now, Coach Berneathy is not making talented players wait like many other coaches & even his predecessors at LP. If the kid can produce at the varsity level, they’re moved up. And man, has Simon produced! Over 1200 yards & 20 TD’s in less than a full season so far! It’s allowed LP to alternate RB’s where Barnes doesn’t take all the pounding. Barnes and Sandolph are also able to split out as receivers as desired to add threats that weren’t really an option last year. The PNG/LP game was a full-on tilt & good for both squads. I remember Gary Joseph in the end zone giving his son pointers as an extra set of eyes since he’d had experience with LP in past PO matchups. That was a good game. The score wasn’t really indicative of the game. Not sure anyone felt it was over until the final whistle! Good luck to y’all in Cajun Country. Bring back a win for SE Texas. (Yes. La Porte is still SETX. Ha!)
    • SEC fan bases before Texas got there: “The horns aren’t ready for this. Every week is a battle.” SEC fan bases after Texas arrived: “Texas has the easiest SEC schedule ever!” SEC fan bases after every one of their teams has lost to one or more SEC teams from the bottom half of the standings, many of whom Texas beat comfortably: 🤐
