KFDM COOP Posted March 31, 2007 Report Posted March 31, 2007 DEWEYVILLE — The Deweyville Pirates pulled out an impressive 7-6 District 24-2A victory over the East Chambers Bucaneers Friday evening at Pirate Field.Daryl Martin nabbed the win on the hill for the Pirates (10-7, 2-4) as he hurled 4 2/3 inningsd, allowing four hits while striking out five and walking six. Ethan Williams picked up the save, pitching the final 2 1/3 innings as he gave up no hits while striking out one and walking one.Matt Manning had three hits for the Pirates, all extra-base hits with a two-run homer and two doubles. He finished with four runs batted in and scored twice.Jeremy McHenry also had three hits, drove in a run and scored twice. Hunter Manning also had three hits while Etahn Williams and Seth Williams had two hits apiece.The Pirates will travel to Warren Apr. 5 for their next 24-2A encounter.

Great job on the mound Ethan & Daryl....and what a shot #5 Matt Manning had with that 2 run homer! You played a great game Pirates and your teamwork was outstanding! You know what you have to do!
