All SE Texas football fans are invited to the debut event of artwork celebrating the history of PVIL football, 1920-1970. The event is on October 6th at Christian's Tailgate Sports Bar & Grill Downtown Houston starting at 3pm (see invitation below).

The PVIL was the organizing body for black schools during this time period, and the artwork combines graphics with photographs of teams and individual players. SE Texas Teams in the design include Orange Wallace,  Beaumont Charlton-Pollard,  Beaumont Hebert,  Port Arthur Lincoln,  Galveston Central,  Dayton Colbert,  Cleveland Douglass,  Houston Washington, Yates,  Wheatley,  Kashmere and Worthing among others.

There will be some interesting people to meet from Texas football yesteryear, good food on the menu at a nice location, and a beautiful design telling one of the stories of the legend of Texas high school football.

Feel free to share the invitation to others you know who would have interest.

I will try to attend

Really hope you can Austin1985. Introduce yourself to me by the artwork. I'll be the tall guy with a shaved head and having guests sign in on a 1/3 scale copy of the print. You'll get a reduced size souvenir copy of the print, as will all guests.

Forgot to mention that among the individual great players featured on the print are SE Texas greats Bubba Snith of Beaumont Charlton-Pollard, Warren Wells of Beaumont Hebert, Emmitt Thomas of Angleton Marshall and Otis Taylor of Houston Worthing.
