A Knoxville man is recovering after being shot while hunting Saturday morning.

Rick Dailey is being treated for puncture wounds to his face, neck and upper body. The 47-year old was shot by one of his friends while turkey hunting inside Chuck Swan State Forest in Union County.

TWRA says the man who shot Dailey, believed he was firing at a wild turkey.

Dailey is at UT Medical Center. He was in serious condition at last check.

A turkey can be fairly big. At least he didn't look like a Texas quail.
