RandomPerson Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 Has anyone been catching any bass on the sabine or anywhere else for that matter?
KFDM COOP Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 Not sure about the Sabine but Rayburn and Toledo have been hot.
PNG Proud Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 I hope Rayburn is, cuz that's where I'm headed!Spindletop has been fair...will turn on shortly.
gringo Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 Not sure about the Sabine but Rayburn and Toledo have been hot.Well, maybe but - 200 teams fishing Bass-N-Bucks open tourney last Sunday on Rayburn - only one team over 20 lbs. Winning weight was 23 lbs and 2nd was 18 lbs. Thats not that hot with that many teams - which included guides and pros. On the bright side we did catch alot of fish - but most in the 13-14" range. Best bite watermelon/red senkos, baby brush hogs, and carolina rigged french fries in 3' to 7'. Picked up one 5.2 lbs on buzzbait.

bh89-2 Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 Rayburn is a great lake - problem is that all looks so good its hard to pick the right spot - looks like you found um - good job! That happens on good lakes. I suggest taking the lake and fish an area like it is a pond. Slow and deliberate. Don't just chunk and wind, make your cast count. My two cents., for what that's worth.
