Bridge City Jr. High Track - 8th Grade District Champions

The 8th grade boys track team overcame a 63 to 5 deficit to Orange-Field after the field events to win the District Championship with 132pts.

Luke Rhodes scored 4 of BC's 5 points by taking 5th in the Long and Triple Jump. Eric Runnels gained the other point with a 6th place Shot Put

However, BC dominated many of the running events. Henry Lecea ran a 54 second 400m to take 1st, and came in 3rd in the 200m and 100m dashes.

Jareb logan was part of a good 400m and 800m relay team (myrick, hicks, robertson), as well as taking 2nd in the 200m dash.

7th grader Brandon Simoneaux stepped up to the 8th grade to run along with JT Culp, Jeremy Culp, Timothy Cude and Cody Quigley to place very high in all of the long distance races.

The other 7th grader stepping up to help out the 8th grade team was Dylan Forman who placed a respectable 3rd and 4th in the two hurdle events.

After owning a huge lead in the field events, OF came in a close second followed by Anahuac, Hamshire Fannett, WOS and Hardin-Jefferson
